NLP Training
NLP training is available through a number of different avenues, including self directed training, nlp seminars, and one on one coaching. If you're just getting started with NLP, you may want to begin with some online resources, books, and audio or video programs. My first introduction to neuro linguistic programming (NLP) was through the book Unlimited Power by
Anthony Robbins.
There are quite a few NLP concepts and techniques in that book. Since it was a mix of theory and practical application, it served as a good introduction. What really cemented things for me though, was Tony's Personal Power II audio series. Taking that course, and applying myself, literally changed my life. You should note that neither the book nor the course are pure NLP, but are Tony's own adaptations. For me, however, Tony's presentation of the subject was both an eye opener, and a good way to get acquainted with NLP and its techniques.
Ways to get NLP training
- Free - There are a number of online resources that offer a good introduction to NLP. Another method of obtaining free training would be to visit a major bookstore and peruse a book on NLP. Free introductory seminars are offered by some NLP practitioners. Your local public library may have some NLP titles. You can also find life coaches who offer a free coaching session.
- Self Directed - Paid, but self directed training is available in books, ebooks, and audio and video programs.
- Seminars and Retreats - More intensive training can be had through seminars, workshops, and retreats.
- One on one coaching - Obviously the most custom tailored and intense NLP training will be through one on one coaching, such as that offered by Stever Robbins or
Todd Beeler.
