There are also several different types of NLP training, and several ways of acquiring it. To some extent, this is based on your personal choice.

Your options for neuro linguistic programming training (NLP training)

1. Conceptual – You can learn about neuro linguistic programming and study its concepts. This type of NLP training can come from almost any source, but typically books, audio or video courses, and online resources would be sufficient.

   If you're expecting, however, to be able to use these techniques on others, or effectively use them on yourself, you should seek further training.

2. Applied – If your only intention is to use a particular NLP technique, you can learn just that particular technique and apply it. A little background and conceptual research would be a good idea here as well, but you can focus on learning specific techniques. Again, books or online resources might work here. Audio or video NLP courses would be a good idea for a more intensified experience. You might want to look at one on one coaching for this though for maximum results.

3. Mastery – If you want to become a life coach who uses NLP, then mastery is your best option. If you want to become a certified NLP practitioner, teach NLP courses, or use it as your primary method of coaching, then mastery is your only option. For this, you will need all the resources available. This will include advanced training and seminars, and one on one coaching from an NLP practitioner/trainer.
