Motivational Quotes For Athletes

Motivational quotes for athletes help you get your game on. If you're an athlete, you need to cultivate superior motivation skills in order to be able to compete at your highest level.

No matter the sport, athletes the world over, of any age, are some of the most motivated people on the planet. The best athletes have excellent coaches, but they're also self-motivated.

Coaches not only help athletes work on the technical and physical aspects of their games, they also inspire and motivate them. After all, much of an athletes ability to compete and win time after time is due to mental prowess on top of physical skill.

In both individual and team sports, athletes need mental conditioning, and words of encouragement. That's what cheerleaders and fans are for, of course, but that isn't enough.

In individual sports, coaches are often behind the scenes, or seem to sit quietly while the athlete competes. In tennis, for example, we see Roger Federer (who has been known to go coach-less) out there going at it with his opponent, and barely think about his coach (if at all).

Whether you're playing on a team and trying to get over the goal line or put the puck in the net, or you're an individual with a goal of crossing the finish line in the 100m sprint, you need motivation.
