Goal Setting Questions

These goal setting questions are a free download, courtesy of life coach David Wood. The questions work as a goal setting exercise and will help to better prepare you for change.

David Wood's 50 power questions

I believe that using effective tools can get you where you want to go faster and easier. As such, there are many goal setting exercises and activities that you can use. These 50 questions, as simple as they may seem, are a very powerful (pre)goal setting exercise.

"Ask yourself these questions to take control of your life!"
-David Wood, Life Coach, solutionbox.com

Just to give you a taste of what's in the list of questions in the PDF document, below is a peek at the lay of the land.

The first 20 questions are under "Defining Goals" and deal with things like uncovering what you're tolerating (a huge energy sucker for most of us), the impact of achieving goals, and timing.

Question 2, "What areas of your life could be upgraded/tweaked?"

Question 18, "For your life to be perfect, what would have to change?"

In "Action Stations" we explore what our actions should be and attack procrastination.

Question 25, "How can you get the knowledge/information you need?"

Question 29, "What would Tony Robbins do in this situation? What would 'massive action' look like?"

In "Gaining New Perspectives" we assess our point of view and attitude toward our experiences, including uncovering how we self-sabotage.

Question 31, "What can you learn from this?"

Question 34, "What in this situation can you find to be grateful for?"

Question 39, "What's your favorite way of sabotaging yourself, and your goals?"

In the "General Diagnostic Questions" we look at our strengths and examine what our life is about.

Question 41, "What are three of your greatest strengths?"

Question 48, "If you had to guess your life purpose (from looking at your life to date), what would it be?"

Download the free PDF, and sit down and have at it. Don't just read the questions and think about them... write down your answers!

"Questions are the answer."
-Anthony Robbins
