About Me Hi, I'm Kurt Schmitt and I own this site. Here's my one minute bio as it relates to how this site came about:  Finding an appropriate saying or quote to fit an occasion has been a hobby. A number of years ago, I found myself in a less than inspiring job, working for not so spectacular bosses, making not so fantastic money. I felt stuck. Normally a positive person, I was complaining a lot. I had a lot of restless energy bubbling up out of my dissatisfaction. I took a home study self improvement course, and things began to change for the better. It became clear to me that many people don't communicate with themselves very well, nor do they practice goal setting. I soon had a whole new appreciation for success stories, inspirational sayings, motivational quotes, affirmations and the like, and began to share my enthusiasm, much to the dismay of some of my coworkers. Over the course of the next several years, things changed dramatically for me. When the opportunity to create a new website came along, it made sense to begin sharing my enthusiasm with a wider audience on the Web. I wanted to do more than create just a list of quotes and sayings, though, as there are plenty of sites that offer that. Instead, I wanted what I wrote to actually make a difference and move people to action. I wanted to encourage people to make dramatic transformations in their lives, just as I had. And so, Inspirational Sayings in Action was born. Fast forward a few years and the site now gets thousands of visitors each month. I've expanded the site to include new sections with pages on life coaches, weight loss quotes and tips, motivational quotes for athletes, and how to write a personal mission statement.
